True Confession - The Laundry Edition

Clearly I'm expecting a "little plastic cup thingy" shortage of epic
proportions. When it happens, I'm going to sell mine at a premium!
(In lieu of that, someone should probably call Hoarders.)

I think we should seriously reconsider any
decision to purchase white shirts in the future.
(Go ahead. Click on the picture to see the full extent of this horror.)

My final confession doesn't have a picture because I was too busy ignoring the piles of laundry in my kitchen to take a picture of them. (They were neatly sorted, though!) I walked through them for two solid days because I just didn't want to do the laundry. I figured if I waited just another minute longer, that was one more chance for it to get done magically.  It never happened.  I had to do it all myself. It's so unfair.

Does anyone else have a laundry confession that they would like to get off their chest? It would help me not feel quite so alone and abandoned by the Magical Laundry Fairy...

I will "tumble" a load in the dryer for days...literally days...until I'm ready to fold.

I seem to have an occasional problem with residual bleach in the washing machine after I wash Curt's whites. I now have a tiny bleached dot (not sure how it came out like that) on a pair of black pants that I'm seriously considering just using magic marker on to hide it. I'm sure there is a more grown up solution, but I apparently haven't reached that status yet!! -Sharla

I would TOTALLY use a Sharpie, Sharla. Actually, I think I actually HAVE...

I love all aspects of homekeeping EXCEPT laundry . . . I had my knee replaced in July and DH is taking over the laundry . . . and that will be the VERY last chore that I take back!!!! It's so hard on me taking a basket of clothes up and down two flights of stairs!!!!!

Martha - I'm a little sad you have ANY plans to take that chore back. I say, "no take backs!"

seriously - i hope your knee recovers quickly!

Uh, I totally do the tumble thing, too, ladies. And I suffered the "little plastic cup thingy" syndrome, too. I collected them and collected them until I had 8 stacks of 10 (OCD, much?), thinking that I would donate them to some school's art class or something. See, I had the reuse, recycle part down...it was the reduce bit that got me. I finally dumped all 80 in my recycle bin and looked away. I'm sure there will be a day when I'll think "Dammit! If I just had 80 small, approximately 1-cup measured plastic thingies!!" At least I'll know where to look, right, Ali?? ;o)
